Our Vision:
To create a retail space that will be a destination for visitors and serve to meet the every day needs of Saxapahaw villagers. We intend to create more interest and help in growing the economy of Saxapahaw.
This space will serve as a platform to promote local juried craftsmen, food producers, and artists. It will carry products at a variety of price points. We envision that it will compliment offerings at the Saxapahaw General Store, without competition. This space will also provide a potential storefront for the Saxapahaw Village Farm.
Our initial vision is to create a well-merchandised and designed marketplace for local crafts people, artisans, and food producers. Our expectation is that visitors will choose this market not only for the local goods we will provide but also for the special experience of the store itself. The store will be special in that it will be so well designed and merchandised that customers will stay to enjoy the environment of the store as well as to shop for products they can only find in Saxapahaw. The merchandising will be original and extend to every corner of the store.
A counter for Saxapahaw Village Farm's product pick-up as well as a refrigerated case for small food items catered by the Saxapahaw General Store will also be housed in this space.
We also intend to carry items that appeal to villagers in their every day needs, for example, a small, high quality, variety of hardware and garden supplies will be available.
